1) Welcome 2) Roll call 3) Pledge of Allegiance 4) Moment of silence for APD Detective James Stanko 5) Old Business a) Discussion of draft bylaws - we are required by ordinance to adopt bylaws at some point; we should do so this month, if possible b) Discussion of any proposed spending on youth in the City's approved Budget for 2022; do we have any recommendations for the new Mayor and City Council, which now includes a youth member elected in November c) Discussion of how the City plans to spend any money received from the federal government through the American Rescue Plan Act and our recommendations for the same to be delivered to the Mayor and City Council before they decide how to spend this money d) Discussion of proposed funding and supervision of new program authorized by City Council for a Youth Corps to clean up the City under supervision by the City's Environmental Action Committee. e) Discussion of the funding and operation of Pittsburgh's recreation centers 6) New business, including: a) Community Services for Children Resource book published in July of 2021 b) Discussion of our Annual Report which is due to be presented to the Mayor and City Council by the second City Council meeting of March - what should we include in this report? i) What we have done since creation of the Council including but not limited to all meetings held to date since our Council was created by ordinance, our schedule of meetings approved for the balance of the year, any recommendations made by us to the Mayor or City Council, any actions taken by the Mayor or City Council based on our recommendations (including but not limited to any changes to the composition of our Council and any funds allocated to youth programs in the city), and anything else, such as our participation in the Teddy Bear Toss at the Lehigh Valley Phantoms game on December 11, 2021 to benefit charities including Valley Youth House (tickets provided by the Phantoms and our name was shown on the scoreboard during the game)
