The Crisis Pregnancy Centers across Pennsylvania engage in deceptive practices. 64.7% have made false or
medically deceptive claims according to the Women’s Law Project. CPC's are NOT medical facilities, are NOT bound by HIPAA, and deliberately obfuscate these facts. Furthermore, they disseminate false information about the harmful psychological effects of terminating a pregnancy, despite their being NO credible evidence that such harm exists. "Alternative facts" ARE deceptive advertising!

Expose so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" for what they are- private for profit religious businesses who openly lie to, pressure, and shame women into keeping unwanted pregnancies. The fact that they masquerade as medical facilities without anyone licensed on site is unconscionable. They can report women because AS NON MEDICAL FACILITIES they are not bound by HIPAA legislation. Make these businesses operate openly and honestly- as religious centers whose sole purpose is to prevent abortions.

I am writing to encourage ALL of you to vote no on Bills 61. Bill 61 talks about Deceptive Advertising. The only one doing Deceptive Advertising is Planned Parenthood. They do not refer anyone to keep the baby or put it up for adoption. The City of Allentown should not be encouraging or supporting the murder of innocent babies. Every abortion stops a beating heart It is not the mother’s body, it is a separate individual, a baby.
