The proposed is an altruistic attempt to help the homeless but unfortunately fails to address the problem the lack of a home. It imposes a severe hardship upon all, it jeopardizes the purpose and usability of parks and other public spaces.
If passing this resolution did anything to lift people out of homelessness, I would be supportive. Unfortunately it does not do that, it only gives them the right to congregate here in Allentown where homelessness will be facilitated rather than alleviated.
